Ok so we're bad people with our own website. I just didn't realize that it's been 3 months since we posted. Let's see what been happening....
Adam got the bike running
I had a birthday
October flew by with the Haunted House
We flodded the basement when the sewer line backed up
We laid new laminate flooring in the basement to replace the ruined floor
We had thanksgiving at our house
Ok yea that's a short list for 3 months, but hey we're bad posters remember
Adam tells me that due to the site outages, I have to completly re-do the gallery in order for it to work, so I'll try and get that done soon. No promises though.
So having really cute shoes has it's hazards. I never used to care about things like cute shoes and jewlrey and all that, but over the last year or so that has been changing. I have this great pair of blue strappy sandals that I absolutely love. They perfectly match 2 of my favorite shirts and are super comfortable and totally cute. I get compliments on them EVERY time I wear them. They hav e little higher and narrower heel than I am really used to wearing, but it's not too bad. However, I learned the hard way today to not try and walk down uncarpeted stairs in these particular shoes. I was headed down to meet Adam for lunch and got about half way down the first flight of steps when I caught my heel on something and proceeded to BOUNCE down the rest of the flight. Now don't get me wrong, I have plenty of cushion back there, but I managed to tuck my leg under me and I am now developing a lovely bruise on my left foot, thigh and at the lowest point on my back. All I can say is it really hurts, and there is something that totally sucks about not being able to lean back against anything!
Oh the things women put themselves through for fashion. Maybe I don't want to be such a girl anymore!
Due to some security issues with Drupal, I've finally made the move to Joomla. The gallery, however, is currently broken due to an upgrade. I hope to resolve that tonight. I will also try to tweak the template and make it all kool and stuff.... and I gotta figure out comments and smileys for jess!!
I will be the first to admit, I am a Harry Potter FREAK! I have read all the books several times over, I love to speculate about what's to come, and as you probably guessed, I was at a bookstore at 12:01 last night waiting to get my book. I finally got home with the book at about 1am and made it all the way until 5 before I had to put it down and get some sleep. I was up again by about 8:30 and other than the hour after Adam got up at 11 and he made me eat and take the dog to the vet, I continued reading until I finished the book about 2 hours ago. For now I will put the book down until Monday when I will start reading it a second time, a chapter at a time to really be able to take in the amazing talent of Ms. Rowling. I will not spoil anything here for anyone who wishes to read the book on their own, but I will say this: I am happy with how the book ended, not what I was expecting, but VERY well done. Now it's time for a nap.
I know I haven't posted about it in a while, but some things have been happening with the motorcycle:
Gaskets have been Scraped
All Parts have been Ordered
Pistons have new rings and are in cylinders
Valves and Seats have been lapped
Valves and Springs have been installed
2 of 4 valve lifters are installed
So, with all that said, there is a GOOOOOOOD chance that the bike will run this weekend!!! HOW EXCITING IS THAT? Wish me luck, maybe even for tonight!!!
I (adam) passed the MSF Beginners Motorcycle Safety Course. So now all I gotta do is go to the DMV and get my endorsement, well, and get my bike running! Anyone got a bike they want to let me borrow? heheh
And, while I was taking the course, Nicole and her Dad took down 3 trees in our back yard, fixed gutters, and generally made improvements. Big thanks to those two!!
Next on the list...... ITs my office, and I can spell it with a P if I want to!!
Speaking of the office. This weekend, I finally moved into the room that I told everyone would be my office. I'm enjoying my space, and space enough for Damion to have a workstation as well. Life is good!
